Skin tags are those soft, but harmless, skin growths found on the face, neck, armpits, underarms, and groin folds. The development of skin tags appear to be genetic, but some women also develop them during pregnancy. While causes can vary, they frequently appear after middle age. Skin tags may begin as tiny brown spots, but as they grow they develop a stalk or stem.

These growths do not develop into cancer, but they can be unattractive, irritate you, and even cause bleeding.
